D-lisha's logo and blog header

I was SO excited when Allisha contacted me about designing a logo/label and blog header for her buttermilk syrup company. Sounds delicious, right? I LOVE how this turned out. This was a client with A LOT of great insight. She wanted to make sure that the contrast between the syrup in the jar and the label on the jar was great enough, which is a very important detail to consider. She also wanted something SO fun and unique. I feel like we really accomplished it all with this on. What do you think? Go check out her blog and order some syrup. I hear it's delicious!

hattie mae logo and business cards

I was so excited to work with Carlie on a logo and business cards for her little business. She makes embellished hats, mostly beanies and they are SO cute! I think the name of the company is so creative and fun, which goes well with her product. She was such a great client to work with. She knew what she wanted and it came together really quickly. I LOVE the colors. I've been wanting to use these colors for a project and this is the perfect fit. What do you think?

Let's hear it for all these successful ladies starting businesses! Girl Power!

Remember this design I did a few months ago for a cheer leading fundraiser? I saw this photo of the finished product and wanted to share. Didn't these shirts turn out well? I was so excited to see the girls wearing the different designs. SO cute! I hope they love them as much as I do. These are definitely cuter than anything we had at our high school.

things I adore: household "tools"

I recognize that this is a funny post, but I have some serious opinions about what I use in my house cleaning/keeping. I wanted to share my loves and find out what gems I am missing out on. Please share!

1. Flour sack towels: The hubby introduced me and I LOVE these. They are huge and so helpful in drying dishes.

2. Swiffer: Maybe you don't shed like I do, but these are so helpful in cleaning up hair in the bathroom.

3. F09: I use this everywhere and love it. Try the lemon scented. It's so fresh!

4. Downey fabric softener: my sweet grandma always uses A LOT of downey in her laundry. It is the lovely smell of her home. Her towels are so soft and fluffy too. Maybe it's the nostalgia, but I use a lot of downey with my towels and sheets and love the way it feels. It's a little extra work to listen for the cycle, but SO worth it!

5. Dish scrubber: so simple, yet so helpful and much more effecient than a rag or sponge.

6. Hand soap: I love buying sweet smelling hand soap for our house, especially from bath and body works. It's a little luxary that makes my day! They have awesome sales too, so the price is very close to what you would pay at the grocery store.

7. orange pledge: love the scent of this and the way it takes care of dust.

Can you believe it's here? It's December and I am so excited! I love this time of the year! I'm going to try to keep things simple this month and enjoy the holidays. In addition to all the holiday cheer I plan on...

• posting about the very fun christmas card I'm designing for my family
• hosting a little giveaway
• blogging 6x a week (November was a busy month and I slacked on the daily posts, sorry!)
• attending family and work holiday parties... yippee!
• posting about a fab logo and blog header
• picking out some ribbon and other beautiful wrapping materials
• making homemade caramels (don't these look awesome?!)
• making a few new blog friends (by commenting, I love so many blogs, but don't comment a lot, I am picking it up this month, I promise)

What are your plans?

heather's christmas cards

Remember Heather? She was the lucky winner of the christmas card giveaway. I have loved working with her and making a new friend. I think these turned out SO well. Hope she loves them as much as I do. She was sure she wanted a turquoise and red scheme and she wanted to use trees for sure. It's so fun when the client has a vision and together we can accomplish that vision. Cute family, right?
